The Smart Specialisation Community of Practice (S3 CoP) provides guidance, networking, support and peer-learning on smart specialisation strategies (S3) – covering also its conceptual development and its implementation.
In the project led by Technopolis Group, 4FRONT is a member of a wide consortium, which ensures an integrated support system to S3 practitioners at regional, national, and European level. The support to S3 practitioners covers e.g. accessibility of information and knowledge on S3 generated through the analytical, advisory, and technical support, expert database, and communication activities.
Specifically, 4FRONT delivers tailored support services to partnerships under the Thematic Smart Specialisation Platforms. These partnerships include multiple European Regions that share a specific industrial interest, and aim to develop interregional cooperation projects in innovation and value chain development. The support services include support in scoping and mapping partnership organisations, development of demonstration projects or identifying financing options for interregional cooperation.
The current S3 CoP will continue until the end of 2025.
